Dealing With Uncertainty in the Midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic
Uncertainty is a key element in life. In the midst of this pandemic, evaluate the precautionary measures you can take and release the anxiety of what you cannot control.
It is difficult to escape the overwhelming avalanche of news in the midst of an already overwhelming global situation. I must not be the only one who feels like she is living in the history books or in fiction dealing with plagues and the like.
However, what is the alternative? Completely ignoring the updates and avoiding reality? No, that won’t do either. How about finding a place in the middle? Not over-consuming to the point of panic, but not avoiding to the point of danger either.
Today I am sharing Matt D’Avella’s video I just saw which will hopefully lead you to evaluate whether you have taken the necessary precautionary measures, as it appeases anxiety over what you cannot control. Because, at the end of the day, as unaware as we are of it most of the time, this life is filled with so much uncertainty.
“The sooner that you get used to the fact that there are so many things in life that you cannot control, the sooner that you can adjust, adapt, and change your plan accordingly. [...] You always have a choice for how you can react and respond in those moments.”
